2021年第31届欧洲临床微生物与传染病学大会(ECCMID2021)将于2021年7月9-12日举行，会议由欧洲临床微生物学与感染病学会（ESCMID）主办。ECCMID是临床微生物学、感染性疾病和感染控制领域规模最大、内容最全面、最具影响力的国际会议，汇集了来自众多领域的国际专家，向12000多名来自世界各地的同行介绍他们的最新发现、指南和经验；大会将利用最新的技术呈现最科学的教育计划，包括主题演讲、座谈会、海报会议、教育研讨会、专家会面、展览会等多种形式。

ESCMID于每年春季举办欧洲临床微生物与感染病学大会(ECCMID)，ECCMID是学术界、临床研究机构和业界公认的欧洲最大的分析和讨论临床微生物学和感染病学研究的大会。ECCMID最初每两年召开一次，1999年成为一年一度的盛会。近年来，ECCMID的规模和地位不断提升，现在每年吸引约10,000名参与者，提交的摘要数量已增加到3,000多个，其中65％被接受为口头或海报展示。

ECCMID, as the world’s premier Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases event, brings together experts from many fields to present their latest findings, guidelines and experiences to an audience of over 13,000 colleagues. This year, the Programme Committee has developed a multi-faceted program incorporating keynote lectures and oral sessions, as well as interactive workshops, meet-the-expert sessions, open forums, and a wide range of symposia. Welcome to ECCMID 2021!

We invite you to the 31st European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), which will take place online from 9 – 12 July 2021. This is the first time the event will take place in summer in a completely online format. ECCMID, the world’s premier Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases event, brings together experts from relevant fields to present the latest findings and developments and share their expertise.

The programme committee has developed a multi-faceted programme to incorporate all of the exciting educational events that ECCMID is known for, as well as many exciting new session formats tailor-made for online delivery. The online abstracts Submission for ECCMID 2021 will be available from: 11 January to 24 February 2021.

Please note: Submission of an abstract for ECCMID 2021 indicates your consent for the abstract to be available within the congress literature (electronic and in print). Submitted abstract should be based on novel data not previously presented or published. The ECCMID Programme Committee reserves the right to reject presentation of abstract material at ECCMID 2021 if essentially the same data have been or will be published in an international journal more than 6 weeks before the congress. NOTE: this does not include posted pre-prints.  

We are fully aware that time to publication of papers during COVID times is commonly expedited and difficult to predict. In the event that materials have been submitted for publication, accepted and published in a journal between ECCMID abstract submission and the congress, we expect authors to ensure that data presented during congress are updated or new angles are provided and not just duplicating already published data.

Abstract type

Abstracts should fall into one of two selectable categories:

1. Research abstract
2. Case report/series

If ‘case report’ is selected, the template sections:
Background/Materials/Results/Conclusions

will be automatically replaced by the sections:
Background/Case(s) description/ Discussion.

Please note that all registration fees quoted below DO NOT INCLUDE VAT

* Young physician / scientist: for individuals 35 years of age or younger and for those under 40 years of age upon proof of training status (copy of passport and written confirmation of head of department obligatory)
** Student: copy of student ID required (English language) 
*** Nurse / MLA: proof (employment status) required (English language)
**** As per the ESCMID low-income country membership definition (If this applies to you, please contact eccmidinfo[at]escmid.org to obtain this registration)

Fees for all congress participants include

• Access to the 5 pre-ECCMID days, as well as the 4 days of the congress itself (9 days in total)
• Admission to all scientific sessions
• Admission to the industrial content
