On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I invite you to join us for the 26th Annual Australasian Menopause Society Congress Remarkable reflections on midlife and menopause which will be held in Queenstown, New Zealand and Online from 1-3 September 2023.

As we climb out of Covid cancellations, Queenstown is the venue to focus and reflect on the efficacy of therapeutic approaches in midlife and the menopause to improve women’s health and outcomes for the AMS Congress 2023.

The keynote speaker is Professor Nick Panay from the UK, President of the International Menopause Society and Professor of Gynaecology, subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Director of the Menopause & PMS Centres at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals, London.

This year’s AMS Congress offers you a stimulating scientific programme designed to inform and give confidence in prescribing, while encouraging time for reflection and renewal in New Zealand’s favourite winter resort. The Congress venue is adjacent to Lake Whakatipu, with a background of the Remarkables, which will be snow covered and eponymously named because they are in an exact straight line from North to South. We hope the Congress gives the same vibrancy and straight line information.

National and international speakers will explore the latest research across a range of topics including premature ovarian insufficiency, metabolism and weight, sleep, memory and brain function issues.

Our clinically focused and always popular Pre-Congress Menopause Essentials Update provides a revision and update on the basics of menopause diagnosis, the fundamentals of menopause hormone therapy (MHT) and non-hormonal therapeutics for clinicians.
