STR 2025 Call for Abstracts and Clinical Conundrums
Scientific and Educational Abstracts: Scientific abstracts may be submitted for consideration in either an oral presentation or electronic poster format. Scientific abstract scoring will be based on scientific merit. Scientific abstracts will be presented in person in Huntington Beach and broadcast live. Educational abstracts for electronic poster presentation will be scored based on teaching value. Priority will be given to original work that has not been presented elsewhere.
Clinical Conundrums: This will again be a light-hearted case-based session where we can let down our guard and share cases with only meeting attendees that highlight lessons learned. Our goal is to emphasize cases that did not go as well as intended, and thereby, taught us something in the process. We would like to focus on cases that introduce lessons learned rather than un-gettable “fascinomas.” Please submit these cases through the abstract process and select the topic “Cases for Cardiothoracic Conundrums Sessions.” Presentations are intended to be short, with a maximum length of 5 minutes, and will be presented in person. This is a great opportunity for residents, fellows and early career faculty to speak at the meeting. Entertainment value is a definite plus, and a prize will be awarded—but of course in this endeavor everyone is a winner!
